A mountain is…
A scenic view
Where the sun hides
A Greek god’s kingdom
A snow covered knoll
The peak of the land
Where your dreams live on
The ladder to the stars
Lost paradise in the distance
The top of the world
The stairway to heaven
I chose this poem as my proud piece because it shows the more creative side to my writing. I like how I described the mountain as these things using metaphors to make it a lot more interesting and intriguing. I worked hard on this poem to describe very well, how I would imagine what a mountain is.

I really liked your poem. I especially liked the lines, "where the sun hides" and "the ladder to the stars." I think that this poem is very creative and thoughtful. It allows people to view a mountain in a totally different way. This is a great piece of work!
